A stone's throw from the Rijksmuseum, this historic building houses the residential community "Ahadeb," founded in 1983 from the idea of sharing spaces and keeping housing affordable.

The people who make up this community share several spaces that are mainly on the first floor.

With this sketch design, we propose a complete spatial reconfiguration, combining compact studios with several collective spaces distributed throughout the property.

Keeping the monumental beams, but removing the floor lying on them, creates a spatial relationship between the various collective spaces, including a canal-side garden, a living area, an eat-in kitchen, and a roof garden.
