HOP transformed this historic building (a national monument) in downtown Amsterdam into a true sanctuary. The project embraces natural materials and warm colors, seamlessly connecting the old and the new. The front house consists of a basement and a bell floor where the family can cook, dine and relax. The back house consists of four floors with bedrooms, workspaces and bathrooms. The front house and back house are separated by a patio and connected by a bright and airy hallway with black and white marble floor tiles. This page shows photos of the front house and hall.
Vintage lighting and carefully curated furniture pieces add character and charm, evoking a sense of nostalgia while maintaining the architectural significance of the building. Each room attests to the art of combining timeless elegance with modern living, offering a quiet retreat amid the bustling energy of the city.
