Sustainable architecture as a tool for a healthy living environment

At HOP, we believe that we can actually contribute to a more sustainable world by our experience and enthusiasm. By minimizing the negative effects of building and designing in innovative ways, we make living environments greener, more energy efficient and healthier.

Sustainable solution

We advise and encourage clients in sustainable solutions, and advise about subsidies. In doing so, we do not compromise on living quality, comfort and luxury, but we ensure that the carbon footprint is kept as small as possible. Often a sustainable design also contributes to comfort: clay plaster, for example, provides a very pleasant and healthy indoor climate.

Our process

You are unique, as is your project. However, these 5 different phases within the design process are the same within each project (based on general architect regulations set forth in the DNR 2011, percentages below are rough indications)

Based in Amsterdam

HOP Architects is an Amsterdam-based architecture firm specialized in the field of sustainable architecture and interior design. With our team of passionate architects and interior designers, we have already realized many beautiful and healthy habitats in Amsterdam, but we work on projects throughout the Netherlands, and sometimes even beyond.

We work together

arrow
Because every client has his own wishes and tastes, we have many moments in the design process to express them (presentations, consultation moments, workshops). Therefore, a design is always the result of a good collaboration. Furthermore, we work closely with many different disciplines, and have built up a broad network of contractors, furniture builders, graphic designers, welders, facade specialists, lighting consultants and marketing/strategy experts.

Time & Budget

arrow
More important than a beautiful design is its realization. During a free initial meeting, we take the time to discuss the available budget and timeframe of a project, and then ensure that a design is made that fits the conditions set. During the design process, the design will be visualized using floor plans, 3D images, material samples and possibly physical models, so during the design phases there is a clear understanding of what the project will look like.
